After many weeks of work, here is the first official gameplay showcase of Battle Rush. Of course, there's still plenty of work to go, but we've finally sorted out most of our major bugs!

We're finally starting to get all the different weapons implemented in with the running animations! Here are some sneak peeks of the two handed weapons that Gwen got set up this week (halberd and battle axe).

Some basic player animations for BR. Everyone's been working hard this week, so fingers crossed our animation troubleshooting is mostly over. We're excited to finally show some gameplay soon!

Some technical issues and our spring break have slowed down progress, but we're pushing to get back on pace this week! Gwen and Ray have been working hard to solve some issues with our 2D rigged animation in Godot. Also, Ben has been reworking the enemy combat AI to set us up for future features.

This week has been super busy, but progress is still underway. Gwen and Ben have been working on ai, art, and animations for the new enemy types. As always, Chad's been doing SFX recordings and implementation. Finally, Ray's been taking care of some bugs and future-proofing for the combat systems.

We have some exciting updates after another week of work! Ben put together two new enemy types with new behaviors, Ray has set up weapon throwing, Chad created and implemented a new batch of weapon sfx, and Gwen has been grinding out character designs and setting up our skeleton animations.

We've been making good progress on all fronts since last week! Below is a sneak peek of some art and animations Gwen has been cooking up. Ray and Ben have added tons to the weapon systems and enemy AI. Chad has made the first round of SFX too. We can't wait to show off more of these changes soon!

Hey! We're the development team for Battle Rush, a 2D beat 'em up inspired by games like Castle Crashers and Cross Code. We've made some solid progress on the fundamental systems (player movement, enemy AI, etc.) for our game so far. We're excited to show it (and more) off in the coming weeks!
