The wonders of aging taking effect. Happy 28 years of being born!
Dem vidya gaems! Was all in on the gaming area and various tournaments I participated in #NYCC. Personal favorites was the Halo 2 lan matches and JoJo for how tight they were. I was in 2nd place in the JoJo tournament! And also like a few of the demo booths and playing some mahvel on the go.

Didn’t really do many panels this #NYCC as I was mainly in the show floor, gaming, and long wait times for autographs. The reservations system this year chap out and I got very few panels of interest. The one I didn’t for the Bleach panel for the general wait admission line. Still, it was worth it.

#NYCC Outside of meeting and getting the autographs from Mazakazu Morita & Noriaki Sugiyama during the first day, I was also able to meet and get my One Piece DVDs signed by Collin and Sabat throughout the rest of the con. Also sweet of Marco Checchetto to sign my issue of USM #1!

After years of neglect in skipping this film when it first came out & not seeing it until I wanted too in a theatrical setting, I finally got the wish 10 years after it came out. A near masterpiece of visual storytelling and one that’s so atypical but at the same time on brand.

Charming, adventurous, & heartfelt are words to describe Porco Rosso. Still a weak Miyazaki film is still a great film to marvel and experience with the smoothness of the animation in the sky a treat to see in the big screen.

A semi packed late evening screening for this film was pretty great. Devoid of much originality and following the template of so many other superhero films, the parts that make this special that carry it being the charismatic main lead and his supporting cast that enhances each other well on screen.

Went in with very little expectations and came out pleasantly surprised for a heartfelt but predictable superhero fare. Crossing fingers it makes an Elemental comeback.
