4. Flauschige Kins: a German born Lycan, naturally born werewolf, who is the current head of the Kins family mafia. An accomplished marksman and joke lover, he’s another of Kain’s best friends.

3. Shisuto Himura: An American both Japanese man and former assassin and one of Kain's best friends. He's a skilled, no nonsense swordsman who joined the Reaper Association not long after Kain.

2. Thea Sigrun: a Valkyrie who was born male but transitioned between the ages of 5 and 16. She moved to America once she reached 20 and joined the Reaper Association. She's also Kain's wife.

1. Kain Diavolo: a homunculus created as part of a super soldier project dubbed project Adam. While technically a failed product of the project, he was adopted by the alchemist who headed it. Later in life he joined the Reaper Association, a group that solves crimes involving monster species.
