"This petition isn’t about saving #ReadingFC. The government can’t do that. But what it can do is understand where the mistakes were made and how this came to be in the first place so that we can learn from them to ensure they don’t happen again."

It’s easy for my to say they shouldn’t disband when this is all over and done with, but personally I’d love to see a positive legacy emerge from this, rather than their efforts be reduced to a chapter in the story of a dark period in our history.

It would be a huge shame if their hand leaves the tiller of the pressure they’ve helped drive in wider football, and their knowledge could prove such a vital resource to other clubs with ownership problems. Their impact shouldn’t be understated, not just at Reading, but on a national level too.

I appreciate the strain this whole ordeal has put on the members of the group, but despite what Greg says I really hope they do find the energy to continue to exist in some reduced capacity after a sale, for example, in some kind of consultancy role.
