I watched Blitz on Apple last night. I thought it was very good, amongst many things, on bringing to the fore the impact the war had on British families. Also, I am a lifelong and massive fan of The Jam, so to see my musical hero make his cinematic debut was just jam on well-buttered toast for me 😃

This is what autocracy looks like. Putin locks up those who oppose his will, including opposition lawyers. So much for the right to a fair trial and legal support. If you support the wrong guy, you’re going down too. Just pointing this out as we watch things unfold with Jack Smith et al

Today I listened to a podcast on the 1938 Munich Conference where Western allies conceded the Czech Sudetenland to Nazism. “Peace in our time”, not. It’s almost 3 years since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. We cannot allow 1938 to happen again. No white pieces of paper this time - long live Ukraine 🇺🇦
