I was still very optimistic about the US until the 2015 or so, the amount of backsliding my opinion of america probably would give most people whiplash. definitely the most evil country of my lifetime

seeing how the biden admin spun the gaza genocide made me see every negative thing the US has said about other countries in a much harsher light. especially with trumps 2nd term, I doubt I'll take anything they say about china at face value ever again

it's cool and pretty easy to use for basic tasks, but you (or a trusted nerd) are the tech support

yeah it's very presumptive to assume someone hasn't (or has). linux is almost never pre-installed on computers (unlike windows), so at the very least unless you're comfortable installing an operating system it's an intimidating process without help
