No better advice on how to make comics than this. I am 21, almost 22 this September. I started making crap comics in 2012 and just kept at it, mix in a lot of screenwriting until I met @zanemfannin.bsky.social around 2022 and in just three years we made, printed, and distributed our very first comic

I do think one thing I'd add to your criticism of Bendis' Iron Heart is something Quinta Brunson said on a podcast recently and hits at the difference between writers writing their own experience vs trying to white within someone else's experience without doing work to be authentic:

Extremely chaotic lol. Between the YouTube channel, finishing my first year of film school this past April, printing my first comic with @zanemfannin.bsky.social, and working a 9-5ish, it's crazy. A lot of fulfilling stuff but also definitely need more reminders to stop and breathe.

Damn straight. First comic I made in 2012. Just for myself. Wrote and drew it. Then I met @zanemfannin.bsky.social in 2021. And we made this comic anthology together. Published and printed this year. You just gotta start doing it.
