You have to admit it, this was a beautiful ship.

Shader systems are ridiculously powerful if you’re clever enough.

Most people use them to create visual effects. You know what’s cooler?

Running Linux.

Inside an emulated RISC-V CPU. Inside a pixel shader. Inside of VRChat...

Hi people from Portugal! 🇵🇹 I am learning European Portuguese, and I really like science podcasts and YouTube channels. What do you recommend?

LLMs are a freaking curse. Looking for the etymology of this french girl name, most of the websites are LLM-hallucinated garbage.

The magic eye was broken but I've replaced it with NOS/NIB from East Europe. It's a shame the camera is messing up the hue, it's true color is actually a more vivid, less bluey green. Greener than a green laser.

Aaand it's done! Not my proudest soldering, but at least there are no shorts. Hope I can measure this soon.

I bet Ethan Peck had a hard time holding his laughter in Star Trek: SNW (s03e08). Oh my God.

"Let's repair this tube radio." "I'll start by replacing the power cord by something more safe." "Oh, let's check first if the power switch works."

Friendly reminder that relying on LLMs to teach yourself stuff is a bad idea.

It is *so soothing* when you write some physics code and energy flux though a surface is conserved.

This is so frustrating. Internet is being actively jammed from the inside.

I left SigDigger running for the last 24 hours in HF @ 32 Msps. You an easily tell when the D layer of the ionosphere vanishes, enabling communications below 10 MHz. Useful? Not much, but damn isn't it beautiful?

This piece is perfect. I am prepared to link this to people dozens of times over the next few years.

I am the antithesis of what’s described. If you care, follow me. I don’t care if there’s only a hundred of you, what I care about is we follow each other.

This has probably been considered by some people already but, I wonder if there's a little bit of post-COVID (just a tiny bit) in all this western-world-wide madness we are living.

I know we teach people that electric charges induce electromagnetic fields, but here's a question for the theoreticians around here: why can't we say that charge (or a 4-current) is a property of the electromagnetic 4-potential?
