🔬 This study reveals that bats have more genetic adaptations in immune-related genes than any other mammals. One key player is the ISG15 gene, which, in certain bat species, can reduce SARS-CoV-2 production by up to 90%—highlighting their exceptional antiviral defense mechanisms
