I agree with your point up until the "even if the AI art doesn't reach production", as a coder(who also despises AI code), not a single art job is lost when the alternative to an AI generated monster is a white background with "monster" written on it in paint.

You can self-host teamspeak or just use one of the free servers, but the UI has become a lot better since the mid 2000's ^^
