It has nothing to do with keeping anyone safe. He’s starting with Washington, D.C. because Home Rule in D.C. is still relatively new, and the boundaries and legal realities have not been put to the test. Mark my words, if military rule comes to D.C. he will bring it to other minority-majority cities (or cities with large Black populations) under the guise of keeping people safe. But the only folks that he’s interested in keeping safe are white people.

The Zorg is a well written book about a part of our history that isn't talked about enough. This book is factually accurate & incorporated several primary sources w/o reading like a textbook. Kara doesn’t shy away from the horrors experienced by the slaves as they crossed the Atlantic.
