I dont think this is the same as what was said above and i dont agree with it at all. You can be creative at any age. But i think its easier when youre new to it because you have more to say: you havent said anything yet, so all the preceding years of your life go into your first few works.

I wonder whether it would lead to stagnation. We just become more efficient at our current workflows, faster at getting things wrong, and no space for exploring new ideas.

You dont understand. Once the next election's been won with a reduced majority they'll be able to move on to their true long term goal of winning a third election.

Rise is beyond the worst. Everyone involved in its production should be hounded out of society

What did you have in mind?

This is so embarrassing. I'd immediately jump like, or at least competitively similar to, javier sotomayer off the nearest cliff

Surely the employer side should include the whole hiring pipeline, not just the writing the ad bit? In which case the employer side is not obviously more efficient (due to the filtering issue)

Attach little parachutes to your socks and they might fall down slower. That's the best science can offer you.

Are there any reforms to the media sector that could realign media incentives in your view?

In being quick to disrupt the conflation between anti israel and antisemitism, theyve very ironically conflated anti antisemitism with anti anti israel.

Do you know what date this was broadcast?

Perhaps it was true when everyone was stuck to the same few channels so you had to entertain viewers who didnt want to be there, but content needs to be diverse and niche now. I think RIH works as you can trust them to be judicious about the info theyre giving.

Flip side of it is llms are presumably trained on a lot of reddit data, and reddit attracted a goofy style if writing when someone was monologue-ing

Im not referring to you. I do mean tech journalists. When the products were first announced the journalists covering it should have asked around, incl. academics, whether it was what it was advertised as. But I appreciate it's difficult. Re industry, theyre sellers so theyre incentivised to hype

One issue is Sam Altman has been allowed to define AI in print, and he's defined it as his company's product (i.e an llm). So now if someone is annoyed with an llm they refer to it as AI. And this riles up engineers. The debate would be better if everyone said chatgpt or gemini or llms instead of AI

I think the popular view is that stocks are a gambling game for traders. The older generation had rising property prices and high interest rates and i think for the typical family their view on finances, where safe money is property and bank accounts, has been passed on to the next generation.

If they were solely concerned with outing llm reviews would be better to hide a message in the review that they can then flag to the editor

I believe most people prefer that. The ones who don't are the ones who already dislike the person, will always dislike the person, and will find reasons to dislike the person.

Nothing beats cycling past a driver at the light after they very aggressively overtook you just 20m back.

I think flying lesson is quite easy to expand. He fails. He tries again and again with pressure piling up from other lessons, students, hes fustrated, and then at the end it clicks. Or it only clicks during the match. Probably doesnt line up with book but whats the point of adaptation if no change
