The first of 5 pages of a comic depicting Lady Baskerville and Klint van Zieks in their early teens. It is set in winter; she is wearing a fur-trimmed coat over her dress and he is wearing a black winter tailcoat. The first panel depicts them walking side by side with her holding on to his arm. Klint has a shy, nervous smile. The background has roses for decoration. Offscreen, a merchant exclaims: "Oh my, what a lovely young couple! Here, this is on the house." They both reply at the same time: "Oh, no, I'll pay for it." with Lady Baskerville adding "I insist!" and Klint adding "It's only proper". They turn to stare daggers at each other while the merchant is left confused. The next panel shows they've resumed walking, with Klint addressing his girlfriend: "As a man, I should've been the one to buy it for you, Primrose." She grins and replies cheerfully: "You think? Then you should get me something even better!" Adding teasingly, "I don't see a man anywhere?" Pouting, Klint mutters under his breath, "what did you say?", but Primrose turns away from him and exclaims "Oh!" happily at something offscreen. Having stopped in frontier of Windibank's, the pawnbroker's, Primrose exclaims happily: "Klint, doesn't this place look interesting?!" Klint immediately perks up, even more excited, "Oh, you're right! What do you think it is?!" In the next panel, his excitement has overtaken him and he's pressed up against the glass window, looking into the shop. He calls out to her from that position, as a wagging tail and dog ears pop out: "W-Wow?! This is incredible, Rosie! Amazing!!! Come and see for yourself, it's full of oddities I've never seen before!!" Looking on, Primrose thinks to herself, "Now now, weren't we on a date?" Just then, she overhears two men (portrayed as shadowy, nondescript figures) talking: "Oh, is that not..the late Lord van Zieks' son?" Primrose's expression darkens as she listens in, and the background behind her is black in this panel. The men continue: "Although if I may be frank, I fail to see any resemblance." "You're telling me. Look how he is acting in front of that young lady!" "It's an embarrassment to have a child seated at the Table of the Lords! Lord Claes's death is sure to be a major blow to nobility's credibility among the common folk." The men come to a halt as the taller one says: "Huh? Hold on, I am fairly certain I've seen this girl somewhere before.." His companion replies, "A daughter of an acquaintance, perhaps?" At this moment, Primrose makes a show of twirling around, lips pressed into a tight, fake cheerful smile as her belt buckle flashes with her family's insignia. The tall man balks: "N-not just anyone's..!" while the other says, "Er, surely this isn't.." Primrose puts her index finger to a cheek and tilts her head, smiling innocently as she greets them: "Oh, dear me! Good evening, gentlemen! Unless my ears deceive me, were you not talking about my darling just now?" The two men's thoughts are overcome with fear as they simultaneously think, "L-Lord Baskerville's daughter!!!" Primrose, hands innocently clasped together and smiling sweetly, walks towards the taller man as he attempts to retreat: "Now that I look closely, are you not my papa's friends?" Agitated, the man retorts: "Ah, we wouldn't dare claim a friendship with your esteemed father.." She responds, "Oh, why so timid, sir?" The next panel, with a solid black background, takes up the majority of the page. Primrose opens her eyes, still smiling, to glare at the man and threatens him: "Please, I'd love to become acquainted! As my dear papa's daughter, it's imperative I remember the name of his friends!"
