Our cats bully us to go to bed. Typically the terrorism starts anywhere from 730-8pm. If we do not comply, they ramp up the action by knocking items off tables while keeping eye contact, screams of protest, trampling us with zoomies. Is your bedtime dictated by a tiny bully?

I swear, Duolingo’s passive aggressive, nagging energy is the worst approach to get me to do something. Are there people for whom this approach works? I would still be a fundie if I wanted this amount of guilt-tripping in my life. No thank you.

I feel so bad for the diplomats who will have to work for Guilfoyle. It is a unique hell to have an incompetent boss who makes your job harder in countless new ways. Putting out fire after fire, all while pretending your leader isn’t an incompetent fool.

The very same people who lambasted DEI efforts as a subversion of the meritocracy are happily taking money and jobs in the name of “viewpoint diversity”
This is a deeply researched article showing the web of conservative foundations and think tanks supporting efforts like UNC’s “civic life” school. Basically, if you study U.S. history through a conservative lens, there’s money out there for you.

Is Chapel Hill’s "civic life" school a conservative center?
Backed by lawmakers and university leaders but opposed by hundreds of faculty, the initiative has hired professors with similar backgrounds—including a few who’ve expressed sharp political opinions.
