Oh I don't disagree, he just hasn't been charged with any crimes, so there is nothing to pardon.

I don't think this is a criminal case.

Does anyone know when the hearing will take place, and how to follow it?

Yeah I'm looking at the chart and like... AI and railroads are totally different?

Thank you for this important information. My family needs this sandwich.

I don't know the ins and outs of emergency response, but it seems like there are plenty of wider streets (eg Lombard St) that can be used. The bike lane doesn't seem like the best option for emergency vehicles, to me. That said, fully support automated enforcement too!

OK. I get that. My take on this is based on my experience managing a food pantry and eviction prevention program. So perhaps you can see why your posts come across as dismissive. Not everyone "in the field" shares your views, for many good and practical reasons.

I'm listening, I just disagree. I also dislike your assumption that yours is the only knowledgeable opinion here – did you consider that others might have experience and knowledge as well?

Trash take

Hey just chiming in to say you're totally right! Anyone who argues that people who "don't need it" are getting assistance are making assumptions about those people that can't be verified. We don't always know what people need.

Also the cost of "verification" is a fucking waste of resources!

This is (horrifically) a great example of how protected bike lanes make the road safer for EVERYONE. Even other drivers!! That car should not have been able to drive there.

We need physical barriers against aggressive driving.

I found that just changing my home screens and icons to black and white made a huge difference for me and my compulsive phone-checking when way down. This is a great tip!

Yes please!! Open Streets has been awesome and has enabled me to explore center city with my toddler in a way that would otherwise be impossible.

Can we got some Open Streets up in Manayunk/Roxborough too?

This is truly an amazing tool. Previously I had PPA on speed dial – this is much easier!

Question: What does the dropdown that starts with "How frequently does this o..." say/do? I can't see the full text on my phone. Should I mark "frequently" in areas where violations occur often?

THANK YOU <3

Thank you for speaking up ♥️

Absolutely agree, but even putting the guardrail in between the trail and the road would help so much. Why did they put the guardrail BEHIND the trail?

Thank you for highlighting this! I bike this stretch daily. It's incredibly tight and dangerous, and the cars appear to think they're merging into the interstate because they are typically going 40+ MPH. Several times, I've seen cars pulled fully onto the path and blocking it completely.

Good point. I think we need to praise the idea and purpose of free transit. While also strongly nudging the conversation towards frequency, reliability, and expansion instead, of course. Possible to do both!

We've been using ours for years and it's unreal how much less stuff we put into the trash!
July 6, 2025 at 2:39 PM
The article makes no sense. The goal is to increase the availability of parking. Isn't that a core part of PPA's function? You despise them for doing their job? Plus parking is very cheap already!

this is the kind of solidarity that makes me love the city

I love this so much. If you have never been to an Open Streets event before, DO IT. Everyone is happy there are no cars music and bubbles are everywhere it's amazing.
