Poverty is a policy choice. That’s why we need strong commitments to end it. Conservatives claim to care about affordability but won’t commit to protecting the CWB, which puts money directly in the hands of Canadians.

So far, no party has included the Canada Workers Benefit in their 2025 platform. But some ( 👀 the NDP) have made other commitments to support low-income Canadians.

Many Canadians living in poverty are working (often multiple jobs).

While not perfect, the Canada Workers Benefit puts more money in low income workers' pockets to help cope with the rising cost of living.

The CWB is a tax credit to help individuals and families who are working and earning a low income. CWB makes a difference in reducing poverty and its impacts by putting money in the pockets of low income workers!!
