Tauren. WoW-enjoyer (of course). Little bit into those Transforming robots and the Gundams too.
"Let's not get absurd here. Ninjas, on the moon??" asks the helmeted man in full spandex next to another helmeted man in full spandex also wearing a tweed cape and deerstalker hat. Love it.

"Regulates everything good out of it" ...sorry to tell you but adult content will forever be not for polite and general company, and most open social networks are striving for precisely that. A safe and fairly chaste environment that limits their legal exposure. Bluesky no longer exists in a vacuum.

Some of the same folks who complained about triggers is now worried when a platform distances itself from a potentially traumatizing trigger. Got it. I think yall wrought this whether you realize it or not.

I think any method of passing them on could result in someone picking them up and falling in love with that universe. Unfortunately. Perhaps a thrift store is your best bet. They might stay on the shelf at one for a long while compared to elsewhere.

Part of me wants to think this is just their way of creating a slush fund. "Budget" for the topical thing right now, but how could they really need THAT much money, right? The other part of me doesn't want to think about what ICE would actually do with that much money if they're free to spend it.

They haven't thought that far ahead. If they save on labor, that means more profit. Their brains stop there.

There will be more and more of this bullshit until people have had enough of what's simulated vs. what's real. Mostly because the simulations are lying to us. We could only WISH that AI concocted fun, harmless make-believe.. but as we're already seeing, it's distorting reality in some heinous ways.

The people celebrating governmental oversteps like this ridiculousness would NOT support the ATF barging into their homes looking for... well, anything.

Electronics Boutique! I still have a receipt for my Jaguar from a Nobody Beats The Wiz. Packed with the console tho.

Baine, probably.

No Weird NJ?!? Boooo.

It would be a mistake to call the AfD's showing a loss. They did surprisingly well, and can't be put aside. They're not going away. The sentiment isn't either.

Very nice.

What I've seen of Space Marine and the gratuitous violence... it would sure make a Transformers game. Cutting through legions of fictitious non-human baddies. Could plug right into the game engine and systems with minimal changes, fasttrack development, get a good game into hands quickly. Maybe.

This is the new "boys club" that has a golden opportunity to get hooks into the government like never before. If you thought it was bad when the bankers or railway men got leverage... we ain't seen nothing yet.

That's a downright silly amount of love being put into a figure. I want it.

"AI will fix it!" strikes again.

Love the stained glass look!
January 11, 2025 at 10:32 PM
Pish posh, surely an over-the-air update will fix that!
January 1, 2025 at 6:40 PM
Wasn't the point of Bluesky to be the "block and move on" site though? It really wouldn't make sense for them to just kick/deny anyone a large or influential group deems persona-non-grata. You do see how that could get twisted right?

It's where you store your Shanix, clearly.

Stuff like this is the origin story for the anti-robot factions you see in sci-fi stories. "Don't employ humans with those pesky emotions and families, employ drones who won't complain about working weekends!" It's radicalizing. Burn that shit down.

Circle K is circling the drain. Recent downsizing and continually slipping store cleanliness. Their gas pumps here were notoriously targeted by skimmers... not sure that's improved, but the store experience sure hasn't. QT is trampling them.

These are great!

It's just IP for Hasbro to license out now. Sadly.
