Don't think you can post Australian occupied Indonesia/Monaco/Poland and get away with it.

But I just feel that on it's own it doesn't say anything, but chuck the southern cross on it and it can be something. It's as much a national symbol as green and gold.

Less is more, but removing the southern cross entirely is a bit much. I've seen a version of the golden wattle similarly to the ACT flag with green and gold I don't mind. But on it's own it's minimalism for the sake of it.

Sure. Still the only one ive seen and gone "yeah that could be it". Golden Wattle by itself just doesn't stir anything.

I go back and forth between having it or not, because you're right there is usually only 2/3 shows. Those shows are ussually worth it though annoyingly.

I understand there's reasons it wouldn't be a thing, but I always liked the Sam Neill event horizon flag myself.

From friends. Used to be able to go to legal store, buy a refillable device and juice made in Australia that was effectively just vegetable oil and glycerin. Add their own nicotine to it. Now the easiest option is to go to a convenience store and buy a disposable with who knows what in it.

Christophe Bassons had a similar story riding for Festina. "Hey you can get paid 27,000 francs a month clean or 270,000 if you dope." Didn't take it and effectively got bullied out of the tour for it.

Comedy can also be a pathway for other stuff SBS does well. We got On Demand for Shoresy, saw an ad for Dark Winds in it and watched that. Eventually we were watching plenty of Icelandic movies and tv shows because we would never have see. if it wasn't for a comedy show. It's so shortsighted.

World News, World Movies and TV shows, Tour De France, Soccer, Eurovision, Australian cultural movies and shows and Niche/Alt Comedy. All the things SBS does best. Surely they realise that.

Sucks to suck.

Udvar Hazy has everything. Seeing the actual Hiroshima plane was a real "fuck..." moment though.
June 28, 2025 at 4:51 AM
Museums with planes are sick. I was so underwhelmed by the Air and Space Museum until I stumbled upon the Udvar Hazy centre where they keep all the planes and space shuttle etc as I was driving out of DC. One of the better US trip experiences.

"made the soundtrack
more fun" is redundant.

Hurts to see them begin to copy from Portlandia.

I had a Liberal volunteer give "just following orders" when I asked why they had preferenced One Nation second in my seat.

It's the perfect movie. 1hr 45. Comedic enough to be incredibly funny, while serious enough to tell the story. Jason Isaacs. Plus Brezhnez always lurking in the background. 10/10.

They do and he even testifies against him and against his release.

Not necessarily a bad thing.

Better than the alternative though ha.

Throughly enjoyed, although I very much disagree with the Suns away jumper slander.

Been needing another pod to listen too earlier in the week. Will give it a go.

Please don't bully an Australian hero this way.

They weren't killed by the emergency vehicle. They were run over, but had already died from falling from the plane, when their seats were ejected. The flight attendants who were seatbelted and fell out in their seats survived.
