I hate the south. I hate it so much. I want to leave here so badly. The institutions in place here are so nationalist, so racist at a molecular level that you live and breathe the air of people stuck in the 1960s. We're decades behind socially and you have to fight for every. ounce of dignity.

It's hard to describe, but objects have different mental "sounds" to them. I was looking at the shampoo last night and the Heads and Shoulders "sounded" different from the Garnier Fructis. I don't know if this is common with autistic people but it sounds like alexithymia..?

Bailey is such a big baby. He doesn't like the storms outside so he's crawled up on the bed downstairs and is snoozing away. He kept following me everywhere this morning because he hates to be alone in stormy weather. His big furry butt is going to (not) be in trouble climbing up here.

It's amazing how much better I'm doing now that I have a job. I can see clear improvement in myself and a much better mental state. Yes, I'm still a cog in the capitalist gears but at least I get to babysit dogs which are universally loved.

Life update: Steadily inching further towards my goals. All my cards are in place, I just have to play them. Patience will be my greatest nemesis. I can see the end goal, but it's at least a year away.
