This bit from one of Quash's Dustloop articles really resonated with me. When I got into this stuff it was as a lifelong fan of the genre as a whole, not just one game. One of my favorite runs ever is GO1 making top 8 at Evo 2016 for SFV AND sweeping like 5 anime side brackets.
