Also not completely related but I recently found out that Doga Kobo is a nepo business with the current CEO (Ryuu Ishiguro) being related to the guy I talked to.

Ishiguro san said "I started Doga Kobo to make money" and then he said he didnt like the studios current output but that was pre-Onk so maybe it was because Wataten and Umaru werent making money lol. But then again he hyped up Kenji Nakamura as the director whose work he likes so idk what he'd think
