In fall baseball, they make the kids play in the same league that they'd play in in Spring ball so the U8 is all 6-7 years old right now.

U6 is coach's pitch with 2 off the tee after 3 swings. U8 is kids pitch for the first 2 innings, but the coach takes over at 4 balls after 2 walks in an inning. coach pitch only from the 3rd+.

We have U12 and U14 teams that keep the skill development going even if the kids can't make the school squads. They play pretty decent ball.

my kid is in U8 and playing in the Parkview GA little league (Francoeur, Olson, Houck) and they got kids pitching at 6. It's wild.
