I remember those days very well. Didn't have a TRS-80, but I had a Commodore Vic-20 (no monitor, you connected it to your TV where the antennas screwed in), and another one like it, I think from Texas Instruments. At the same time, I was using the DECsystem 10 at the University of Pittsburgh.
