There was the b&w look during the Future Foundation era of the early 2010s, followed by red and black. But for the most part it's blue.

I believe the movie takes place in an alternate history in which the Confederacy won the Civil War. Two hints are how Lockjaw wins the "Bedford Forrest Medal of Honor" and when Bob is talking to Willa's teacher and asks if she's "teaching the right kind of history? Lincoln?" So different 2009.

The weird thing is Frank Darabont is mostly beloved in any other context. But no one seems to consider Shawshank within the context of being a Darabont movie.

I don't want the codename theory to ever be canonized...but I will say, the Craig filmmakers didn't help themselves by dropping hints. Not just with Mathis (why???) but Silva says, "Say my name. Say it. My real name."

I can't really prove it with textual evidence but while Brosnan's M went to Oxford for law and is more of an "accountant" than a soldier, I think Craig's M is former military. She certainly handles herself like a soldier. 2/2

Not including expanded universe material and just going by the movies, what differentiates the two Dench Ms is the first was new to MI6 in 1995 and sees Bond as "a relic of the Cold War," and the second misses the Cold War. 1/2

Oddly enough he has been a voice actor twice...in Waking Life (2001) and A Scanner Darkly (2006). Makes you wonder what Richard Linklater was thinking.
