Proud Portlander, recovering politico, from Montana via Michigan. College football, Timbers, Thorns fan. Want to make government work effectively as possible for those we serve and for the tax payers.
Here's a real Portland problem, not the nonsense from the right-wing media machine. From the departing director of the Portland Art Museum examples of how local gov'ts create too many unnecessary hoops for businesses and organizations to easily do their work. www.oregonlive.com/opinion/2025...

I asked because I grow tired of people complaining about Democrats without offering solutions. So I appreciate your effort for a positive vision. So what do you make of this paragraph from Klein's essay?

Excellent column encouraging Ds to build a big tent. As Mamdani likes to say "If you agree with me on 9 out of 12 issues, vote for me. 12 out of 12, see a psychiatrist." Ds can't keep using purity tests to kick people out.

Pictured is one telling paragraph of many.

Again so much more is available. It was sitting on Pam Bondi's desk after all!

I know you keep sharing this as if it everything, but there are 100,000 more pages held by the DOJ. After all Pam Bondi said she had so much more just a few months ago.

Unreal. The President's son is a spokesperson for some financial assistance company saying "Don't Let the IRS Target You!"

I did have this nice pose while at the hospital. But really I was happy to be up on my legs and walking for the first time in a while.

Wow #Oregonian another headline, another way to put some spin to kill attempts improve services.
Maybe "Lawmakers advance transportation package / to improve services at a cost"

Unreal web page on FoxNews website, compared to the Oregonian at the same time.

Largest crowd I've ever seen in Portland for #NoKings day.

I'm sure they can get all the car repair places to donate to fight the new gas tax too. Driving over all the unmaintained roads will only increase their business.

Great (and exhausting) time reaching the top of Mt St Helens with an experienced group yesterday. Coming down in a trash bag was awesome.

I'm at one of the most popular places in town! The DMV to get my updated drivers license.

Visiting the Civil Rights Museum in Memphis. Had less time than I would have liked, but a poweful view of American history.

This explains why I have been so slow to get better this week. I have COVID. Thanks to vaccines and the free tests from the government, I and others around me are much better off.
I'm hoping to be at 100% by Monday!
