Walking back from the local shops this morning and a car was parked entirely on the pavement. This in an area with lots of older people making use of mobility scooters, plus a few wheelchair users I have seen.

Felt tempted to just keep walking, up and over it.

Yep. "We have installed,<checks single photo of their entire cycle parking project> 15 new bike racks around the local area in line with our targets..."

Weaponised incompetence on the part of whoever orders them. "Well we provided bicycle parking but no one uses it".

In the same vein as most other bad cycling infrastructure. "We put in the cycle lane..." (painted bit of road next to fast moving large vehicles) "...but no one uses it"

Even brand new developments in Essex go in with no cycling infrastructure which seems insane to me considering the majority of the properties have parking for only 1 car 🧐

I’m not sure I’m the person for the job, I can’t stand the slow pace of cycling infrastructure development in this country and would quickly lose my patience dealing with the bureaucracy
