Today’s office with marsh tit, cuckoo, firecrest and garden warbler

My 101st BBS visit this morning brought only 24 species but included a square new bird, female goshawk flew low directly overhead pursued by crows @bbs-birds.bsky.social @hosbirding.bsky.social

Long-tailed tit feeding in willow has collected a lot of yellow pollen.

It’s showing dispersal away from breeding colonies.

Dunlin found at Calshot, Hampshire on Jan 3rd 2025 was ringed in Poland July 2021, first time resighted.

Only 25 species in 2 hours at Calshot, Hants today and managed to miss the black redstart. Most of the time trying and eventually succeeding in reading this Polish flagged dunlin.
