I found Poilievre's statement about a clearance to be troubling. The process is a bureaucratic, not a political one, conducted by impartial public service professionals. This places a level of distrust in the federal public service, surprising for a former cabinet minister and career politician.

I don't think it's unfair to suggest Danielle Smith's statements represent a form of betrayal to her country.
