To those New Yorkers who championed and then reelected @schumer.senate.gov back in 2022, I invite you to take one of the spoons I'm currently holding in my hand, and then please eat my entire ass.

Yup, just dig in there and enjoy.

Tuesday night’s election results gave me hope for this stupid country, for the first time in a full year. Therefore, it was time to celebrate with some Brandy Alexanders.

1.5 oz Cognac
1 oz dark Crème de Cacao
1 oz Heavy Cream

Shake with ice, pour into a chilled glass, top w/ fresh nutmeg. Drink.

"Slow Horses" is quite possibly the only show that can dole out just six episodes a year and still keep me absolutely addicted. September 2026 (Season 6) can't get here fast enough.

Here's our daily reminder that Trump is able to [insert horrific act here] *solely* because of the GOP. Republicans control the House & Senate, and GOP-appointed SCOTUS justices rubber-stamp everything he does.

In this & every, single election, we have to remember:

Vote Republicans the fuck out!

It was amazing seeing SO! MANY! PEOPLE! at Boston's #nokings rally today. I'm absolutely floored.

But what I'm truly thankful for are the crowds that showed up to protest in red states, in places where their safety wasn't guaranteed. In places where the cops were just itching to hurt protestors.

Finally got my signed copy of @keithrosson.bsky.social’s COFFIN MOON, c/o Portland’s Broadway Books! Seriously, I can’t tell you all how much I’ve been waiting on Keith’s new novel. Started it up last night, loved it from the first chapter. Get your own copy or have your library order it ASAP!

Hey, @moderation.bsky.app, why is this photo (via @markey.senate.gov’s feed) of an enslaved man’s back (as a result of him receiving near fatal whippings from his enslaver) tagged as promoting “self harm”? This is disinformation.

Hi, we're the New York Times!

We helped downplay a lot of horrors of the first Trump administration, as well as threats he made when he was on the campaign trail.

Speaking of, three of that dickhole's SCOTUS appointees helped make it legal for ICE to demand proof of citizenship.

You're welcome!

This is just every other note on my manuscript right now.

There was once a hole in my heart

(and head)

but @nineinchnails & Boys Noize filled it in for me.

Now these are the kinds of submission rejections I don’t mind getting.

Just came back from watching “Fantastic 4: First Steps.” Very cool movie set in an alternate version of the U.S, where they value scientists, fund science initiatives, & work to develop technology that’ll benefit humanity instead of just billionaires.

Like I said, it’s set in an alternate universe.

Hooooooly shit, it's finally here! CW Blackwell (@cwblackwell.bsky.social) has a new short story collection out called WHATEVER KILLS THE PAIN, c/o the good folks at Rock & a Hard Place Press (@rhppress.bsky.social), and it looks ridiculously good.

This shall be glorious!!!

My brain hurts as to why anyone would continue subscribing to the NY Times when they keep denialists like Stephens on their payroll.

To wit: Stephens claims genocide isn't happening because the death toll isn't as high as he thinks it could be. (You know, if Israel really rolled up its sleeves.)

Weeks after the series finale of “Andor,” I think the most important lesson we (and Syril) can take away from the show is this:

Don’t date law enforcement.

Here’s exactly what I’m talking about:

Up and accidentally made myself one of those white-woman-holding-a-fork-and-laughing-alone-in-print-media salads tonight.

(It was delicious, by the way.)

Does anyone remember "Formula 51"? Because I sure as hell do. Fucking love that movie.

I say that opinion above on Coogler and #Sinners openly and honestly. There's a particular, single-camera tracking shot that happens at about the halfway point that is one of the most original, complex, and incredible moments I've ever watched in cinema.

Just...go. Go see it.
April 27, 2025 at 7:52 PM
Gang! I finally got the chance to see Ryan Coogler's #Sinners last night, and I'm still reeling from it. One of my favorite films of the decade, if not ever. Truly, if you haven't seen it, you need to.

Flat out, Coogler's probably the best Millennial director out there.

You need to see this film.

don’t mind me

just over here buying emotional support juggling balls

you know, before the tariffs kick in

(note: I cannot juggle five balls at a time)
April 11, 2025 at 6:56 PM
I get (and dig!) the sentiment, but this is a friendly reminder that the Orange Dickhole wouldn't be able to accomplish the complete destruction of the American economy if he weren't constantly supported by Republicans.

So please please please stop electing these bastards into office.

k thx bai

Trump voters (and the people who voted for his Republican supporters in the House & Senate) simply need to have urine thrown on them every day for the rest of their lives.

They need to wake up, have a delicious breakfast, walk out the front door, and then have pee pee thrown on them. All day long.

It felt good to do something nerdy today, and to celebrate that nerdiness.

With pie.
