It's fine in a vacuum, but it has too much repurposed dialogue and scenes lifted verbatim from the original. It's cardinal sin is that it uses AI to bring back Ian Holm from the dead; not just a cameo, but as the main fucking villain. The whole thing screams corporate interference.

Alien Romulus is utter slop compared to it.

Easily the best movie of this year in my opinion.
