I think it would go a long way if you were to talk to bitmap about the royalties. It's a shame you two had such bad interactions. If he were less hard-headed and more graceful in his speech I believe you could have been friends over time. Both sharing a love of video games and their deeper meanings.

I think you owe him an apology for this. Regardless of what was said no one deserves to not get paid for three years of work. Especially with bitmap still profiting. What he said to you wasn't cool but that's a personal spat between you two. Try to fix this please. I respect you too much for this.
