Epicormic growth removal is the process of clearing away those small, fast-growing shoots that sprout along a tree’s trunk or branches.

In 2024, Barnsley Archives and Local Studies catalogued the records of Lancaster and Sons, uncovering a previously unknown gardeners' wage book from NT Wentworth Castle Gardens. Once damaged and unstable, the volume has now been professionally covered and is accessible for the first time.

The Sadler Room at The Cooper Gallery is currently hosting the latest exhibition from Barnsley College's UAL Level 3 Creative Practice students. Working with the theme Places & People, the students have produced a diverse collection of thoughtful and carefully crafted pieces.
