This is wonderful!

As a teenager I would go all around Sydney & surrounds on public transport. Skating, swimming, visiting friends, etc. My parents couldn’t afford a pass ($20 a week), so I just jumped the barriers & hoped I wasn’t caught. It’s an unfair restriction on being a kid :(

They’ve been consistent with their values, effective as a minor party & their national vote barely changed. They lost on prefs in QLD, and Melb was redrawn. They have lost great MPs, maybe including Bandt, and that will be a genuine loss. But Bandt’s Greens are more relevant than ever.

That thumbnail is very misleading, suggests you can eat multiple trays of beef per week

Upping the cost enough to cover the tariffs may be expensive enough to prevent US customers buying the products, so companies instead raise the price globally to cover the cost increase in the US. Could be happening here too.

I do most of my terminal-ing (for work) 2 or 3 hops from my laptop. Either a remote dev container (laptop > home server > remove dev container), or one step further on a test device (laptop > server > container > test device). I so wish I could get a clipboard to navigate that maze…

I can’t imagine my parents, for example, needing more storage than me. Do most people even download apps these days?

I’m surprised that 256gb isn’t considered enough for most people. I use my computer for web stuff, photo editing & storage, movies/shows (1-2 at a time), and a bit of coding. I’m at 114gb after almost 10 years, and I don’t think I’ve even cleaned out the drive.
