Sitting in a room while someone bangs on about their PowerPoint slides for a few hours is not any sort of a deterrent to bad driving.

Maybe a speed awareness course with an eye test at the start and a final exam on driving theory and hazard perception at the end of the day, failure of either one resulting in an instant ban.

The architects of Brexit never wanted to reduce migration to the UK, they wanted to remove rights from local workers and migrants and the laws that uphold those rights in order to be able to exploit workers more easily. All in the name of "cutting red tape."

Safety standards are for protecting those inside the car. Anyone outside the car isn't doing their civic duty to be inside a car whenever possible.

How much would you bet that some of them are banging the anti-immigrant drum in order to be able to exploit undocumented people who'll now be even less likely than before to report criminal behaviour by their employers?

If "exceptional hardship" is to exist at all, it should be a one time deal with a commitment to log a certain amount of additional driver training and possibly some unpaid community service work.

Whenever I stay in a hotel I get targeted advertising for that chain of hotels. I'm pretty sure I know that Premier Travel Styles Express is a thing that exists seeing as I'm sitting on one of their beds.
