Look, I don't really want to wade into American politics, but since emblem gestures are my jam, a reminder: gestures are treated in communication as more deniable than words and bad-faith actors can easily exploit this feature.

I'm not sure why the new BCMath\Number #php 8.4 class isn't listed at either www.php.net/releases/8.4... or www.php.net/ChangeLog-8.... (the latter mentions a bugfix in the class but not its being new)

Dora metrics questions:

1. Am I right to think that in the "lead time for changes" metric, "code committed" functions just as proxy for code written? We'd rather measure time between code being written and being in prod but the commit timestamp is recorded, the time each character was typed is not?

1. Does the commonly used 'dot voting' scheme have any proper name as a voting system? Is there any discussion of its characteristics & the alternatives?

Anyone know if eventually the login-wall is likely to go away and people will be able to read this without logging in?

Hello! Thought I'd find a non-blue evening sky photo for my header background.
