Great to have Cllr Alan Schneiderman (Environment and Climate Change) at our monthly meeting, and to discuss some of the Council’s environmental projects. We hope you all know how much is reused and recycled, for example at Summers Lane Recycling Centre. But, please do try to use less too.

#BarnetFoE had positive meeting with @sarahsackman.bsky.social, MP & Minister. Agreed environmental crisis greater than ever & importance of sustainable strategic policies. Sarah emphasised power of local initiatives and invited us to make demands of MPs - thank you Sarah, we’ll take you up on that!

Interesting seeing air quality vary across London using a clever little air quality metre supplied by Clean Air Barnet to help people measure and raise awareness of the issues. These were my values in a restaurant, breathing in the cooking fumes. Worse than it had been outside, despite car fumes.

Great vibe and excitement at our meeting with Dan Tomlinson. Good to see concern for environmental issues. Shame debate on the #climateandnaturebill has been adjourned. But with your help, we’ll get there!

Thank you to David Pinto-Duschinsky for a great meeting last night. Brilliant to discuss cutting carbon emissions, warm homes for all, affordable and clean transport, and good green job opportunities for those in need. There was much agreement, though some debate on benefits of carbon capture!
