You didn't say "political dynasties" you said "aristocracies," two completely different things I learned about while getting a master's in political science. Political dynasties work if and only if people decide to vote for candidates from the same family.

My main fear is that, knowing me, if I get too far into making an original setting I will disappear down that rabbit hole and never get around to actually writing the plot.
