Hi folks. Just to be clear, a date has not yet been announced for the next No Kings. If a PAC you’ve never heard of asks for donations to “organize” it, please block and report them

So for this holiday season, I am asking for people to do due diligence on gifts, and try to find out whether they will off-gas any toxic chemicals. MSDSs don’t paint the whole picture, and neither do sniff tests. Any research is better than nothing, for the sake of the people receiving your gifts.

…vulnerable due to their smaller size (larger exposure ratio), the fact that they are more hands-on (and littlest ones put those hands straight into their mouths), and they breathe in a higher percentage of toxics because their faces are closer to the ground, where heavier-than-air toxics accumulate

Also, please reconsider buying fragrance this holiday season. Navigating through multiple trails of fragrance chemicals is exhausting, and the symptoms resulting from fragrance exposure can take days to resolve. People with invisible illness often just want to live and shop like anyone else.

As someone very sensitive to the toxic chemical cocktails in fragrance, perfuming public spaces creates barriers for me and many others who have asthma, other respiratory issues, or chemical sensitivities.

Searching for a place with clean air to retire to in about five or six years and where I can easily find organic produce just seems at times like a nearly impossible task.

Practice the discipline of pivoting every conversation back to the truths we want people to hear. They lie as strategy. Repeat it until no one can pretend not to know it. That’s how we win the narrative war.
