With every law benefiting the poor, the rich find a way to capitalize. Any progressive or socialist law should include a clause targeting and excluding any indirect benefit to the wealthy enterprises.

Of those ‘violent criminals’ I argue that those few serving long sentences should remain incarcerated here to ensure their victims are protected. But maga is just moving those from one prison to another claiming we’re safer. Its a false narrative.

Agree. I view ‘holy’ texts as treasures of ancient culture. I just do not see them as a guide to moral behavior. Many of the crimes I have mentioned are directly inspired by the bible. Example: every 19th century anti-abolitionist pamphlet or literature all share bible versus supporting slavery.

Agreed. Some good people happen to be religious. And yes, religion is not a requirement for evil. But when your holy book gives legitimacy to slavery for instance, then normally decent people are granted a license from the divine to be evil.
