But Kurbis will always keep a special place in my heart.
For everyone else, Kurbis is a dinky, forgettable dollar rare in a forgettable precon.
But for me and the people I played against, he was a simple yet unique commander that could pose a serious threat rather quickly.
So he is my favourite.

Kurbis ended up helming a surprisingly powerful deck, keeping up with stronger archetypes like slivers, or out aggroing more powerful commanders like krenko. Eventually, my playgroup invested in much higher budget and power decks until kurbis stopped being able to keep up.

I built a very simple, tight deck focused on counter generation and providing evasion for my green creatures. Kurbis was incredibly useful as a creature I could always cast if i had nothing better to do, that could always be useful.
He was also incredibly easy to pump up to lethal commander damage.

Reasons I love kurbis:
+He is always cast with p/t on rate
+He seems incredibly underwhelming, so he is easily underestimated
+He provides 2G for devotion
+He enters with +1/+1 counters
+He is a very easily overlooked combat trick and political tool
+Innistrads treefolk lore is rad AF
