From my first live performance with @kinbakutouch.bsky.social I thought performing would pull me out of the experience, but the moment I felt his touch the room vanished. There’s something about being suspended by someone you trust so fully that the audience just stops existing. #shibari

Choreographing rope for an audience is different from tying in silence. Timing bends to the rhythm of eyes watching, to the collective inhale of the room. The rope becomes not only dialogue between rigger and bunny, but between us and everyone present. This is a moment captured in collective breath.

There's a moment in rope when the body surrenders before the mind does. Muscles melt first, then breath slows, and finally the chatter goes quiet.
It isn't about restraint. It's about listening, to skin, to heartbeat, to the tremors that say yes, more or wait, softer.
