when RWers say "grooming" they mean "threatening my patriarchal sexual authority, corrupting my property, damaging my goods." they don't actually mean anything to do with sexual abuse, which they see as perfectly permissible under the right circumstances.

minor point that the rebrand looks cheap and unserious without feeling really creative or fun. the website is the same as every other corporate website and the logo feels five years dated. it's an unfortunate move that seems bound to happen to anyone who isn't adobe

tbqh I'm most disappointed that this is delegitimizing affinity. it now looks like a much cheaper, less effective product, and yes some of that effect is just because it's called "affinity by canva" now. canva is not taken seriously by the industry - not that that's a good thing, it's just true

it's also now entirely tied to canva accounts for usage and licensing purposes, which sucks. I really don't like the homogenization. feels gross. right now they're saying the V2 servers will remain active for perpetual license holders, and if they ever go down, I'm gonna get my money back lol
