What I never understood is why Ishiba, Kishida and Suga championed an anti-growth agenda. But I guess good that Takaichi is pro-growth instead.

It’s interesting, I see the opposite, both in Japan and abroad. I feel that the media is united in praising her and giving her grace, which we can also see in the support numbers. Completely different to the reception for Ishiba a year ago.

This is an excellent interview with the German culture critic Wolfgang M. Schmitt. He lays out a leftist point of view about contemporary German politics. It's in German of course, but perhaps the auto-dub or subtitles will be sufficient.
