If you read French, I hope you can confirm:
I point to security concerns, the importance of independence of Russian gas, Norway’s relatively clean extraction technology, how it can be transferred to others,
and how all of this relates to The Gas Trap.
Thanks @baptlanglois.bsky.social @lexpress.fr

What's the future of carbon pricing?
To answer, one must understand political economics.
More than 800 scholars have realized this and signed up for the 9/9 Webinar by @eaere.bsky.social on this exact topic.
You can still do it:

Both US and EU are now claiming to introduce reciprocal tariffs. If the two are based on just slightly favorable interpretations, the outcome is a tariff war that continues to escalate to autarky.

What does the world need the most?
It needs more focus on how sustainable policies can become politically feasible.
Partha Dasgupta is thus kicking off our conference on this topic today:

What can one do? I find it hard to sit still, so I wrote an Op-Ed to FoxNews with counterarguments to the tariffs they have been praising. But of course they won't publish it.
So, I just post it here.

The World would have been better off if the Nobel committee had signaled that a few more papers would be necessary... ;)
But we all knew it was just be a matter of time,
it is highly deserved and the committee emphasizes the exact key papers:

The Nobel Peace Prize going to Nihon Hidankyo is extremely timely:
"Nihon Hidankyo and other representatives of the Hibakusha have contributed greatly to the establishment of the nuclear taboo. It is therefore alarming that today this taboo against the use of nuclear weapons is under pressure."
