I belong to a small, but vibrant group of elder-ish queer and gender-diverse folx in Ontario. So far, we've been blessed with a wonderful community. I fear for our neighbours down south. Imagine... going to jail for just being honest about yourself with others. No wonder many stay hidden.

This is discriminatory and violates our Canadian Human Rights Act that protects gender identity and expression. Leave religion out of our politics and medical practices!! Please help Egale help us. I really should up my monthly contribution, especially in these nutty times...

Sadly, there has been a drop in support here in Ontario for our trans & non-binary community, but we are hopeful nonetheless once this political cold passes. I just hope it doesn't turn into pneumonia, but we're doing what we can to be positive ambassadors.
