You were lucky to live in Garmisch back then! Loved that town. We were in Camp Darby, italy (Tirrenia) same years as you, same grades! We were also lucky!

Last time I was there, the slalom ski jump was still being used. As was the ice rink. It's been a few years, so they may have been replaced by now. The old hotel at the Eibsee was given back to Germany, and now it's a commercial resort. 🥺

As a result of playing on the beach (very briefly) despite winds and waves at the Outerbanks, then playing ball by the pool, Army needed a gentle belly rub and big nap!!!
