I'm not sure why the baseball gods think Kyle Tucker is all that and a bag of chips. The guy played fine for the Cubs, but he always looked like it was such a chore to actually show up for a game.
This guy would be a much better signee. And way more exciting.

My dad, who passed in 2020, was in the Army in the 50s, then in the reserve during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was sent to Camp Dodge in Des Moines when things heated up, waiting for orders. Mom was at home in Cedar Rapids with my big sister and our dog. I hadn't come along yet. Scary stuff.

My rescue dog Chester, the one with me in my profile photo, developed diabetes a few years ago and then became blind.
Chester gets two injections per day of insulin. His insulin under President Biden was around $30 per vile.
His insulin under the Orange Blob is over $90.

Three times the people showed up in Vinton, Iowa than showed up in June. Vinton has a population of about 5,000 and is in ruby red Benton County. We were all joyful, and we had a frog! A Trumper sat on a bench out of the way, wearing his bullet proof vest. Didn't say a word. Looked disappointed.
