I'm reading the short stories of A Call of Chtulhu. Most are okay, but you're right, he's definitely racist when it comes to African Americans. Although the way he describes other continents and cultures of his time in his stories is mostly ignorant and naive rather than xenophobic.

Im having a lot of fun discovering H.P.Lovecraft atm. I’ve also read House of Leaves and that was quite an experience.
