Let's be clear: the National Guard in DC is patrolling the affluent parts of town so they can be seen the media and elite, not in the "rough" areas of town. Even then, DC has much lower crime rates than Memphis, Baton Rouge, or Jackson, Ms. It's all a very expensive show!
