2003, I visited Auschwitz-Birkenau. It remains etched in my mind. Auschwitz is unbelievable. But Birkenau, the end of the line; the allies bombed the gas chamber, left it undisturbed. The air was still. I was immersed in echos of grief, fear, distress. I could feel the echos. #HolocaustRemembrance
